Welcome to Reading St. Andrew's Scottish Dancing Society
Introduction
Whether you are new to Scottish dancing, new to the Reading area or already a St. Andrew's Society member, we hope that you will find something useful on these pages...
For those of you who are new to dancing, come along and join a friendly Society, make new friends and have some healthy fun. You don't need to bring a partner and you don't need to be Scottish to join in either. See our Classes page to find out when and where you can start.
If you are already a dancer but new to this area, see our Classes and Events pages to find out when you can join in the fun.
How to find us
Classes are held in the lower hall of St Andrews United Reformed Church.
If you're not familiar with Reading you can find a map by clicking here. (We're on the corner of London Road and Craven Road next door to the Royal Berkshire Hospital. The Church has a car park which is entered from Craven Road)
Class fees
The annual Society membership fee is £5.00
The weekly fee for Society members is £2.50 and for non-members is £3.00. Half price class fee is applicable to anyone in full time education.
If you are visiting us for the first time we would like you to enjoy your evening for free.
OUR WEBSITE
We have been fortunate enough to have had a website since 2000. It has the dual purpose of keeping current members informed and of attracting new members to join us. It therefore contains information about our classes, about who to contact and how to find us, and about events past and future. If you look at it now, you will find photographs taken at the Ceilidh and others taken at a Dem practice. There are also links to websites for other clubs far and near, so that if you are travelling, there is plenty of help in finding somewhere to dance.
